Talking F1's INSTALLED

First impressions are the truck is a lot quieter. I purposely drove on a street with a wall next to it and it took a semi heavy foot to hear the turbo spool then it really took off, didn't realize it was quietly exceeding the posted limits quickly, takes minimal pedal to get going. MUCH quieter motor, almost gasser quiet. Got about 100 miles so far and it keeps feeling better. VERY happy so far, just filled the tank so we'll see if that helps. This was all done on the stock tune as well. These are the Flux 1's. In a nutshell, feels like a brand new truck! Next week I'll be going on a 600 mile trip towing a car trailer so we'll see.

Tow Test

Just got back from a week on the beach in Pismo Beach. Towed up a '65 Olds Cutlass for a car show and for a base line test at about 6000 lbs trailer and car, I left the truck on the stock tune, with air on driving up due to 90*+ weather that day. Before on stock tune, going up Gaviota pass, it would drop in to 3rd for a bit. Now, no drop, still in overdrive the whole time with a deep big rig tone to it, pretty cool. This thing is VERY quiet and responsive, part throttle power is great. Getting out and passing was done effortlessly. It would get away from me if I didn't lock the cruise on, soo smooth and quiet. This thing is AWESOME! Only used about 2/3 tank of fuel for the 400 mile drive, towing 100% of the time, which is on par for it being on level 1 of the Smarty.

Thanks for the report.

I am, however, concerned about this:
MUCH quieter motor, almost gasser quiet.

How are the injectors as far as smoke goes? No issues with the smog opacity test?

I just filled up from the trip and I wasn't far off on my guess, I got 15.6 towing the car. Another thing, when I would have it in park and rev it up, the rpms used to hang for a sec after letting off the pedal and come back down. I just did it today and it came back down like normal so I guess they fixed that problem also, I didn't think much about it at the time.
