I ran a side out using the cool duals muffler with twin stainless 45's with a slight downturn about 2 feet in front of the duallies at the high spot on the frame.....It sounded great but it was a tad loud.....no soot on the truck..... a little on the flat black rims and the tires have sidewall tread so nothing had a chance to stick to them. Overall I liked it ......now I have a 5" 28" muffler and tail pipe that mysteriously ends under the truck. Can't hear it and when the tailpipe is turned on a 45 to the center of the truck the smoke clouds seem to appear from nowhere.....much less green peace abuse than when I had the stack on and blocked out the sun. As a side benefit the truck gets undercoated for free every time I step on it. Don't know how I'll be able to handle the truck with a virtually stock engine. ks

the problem that ford was having with that setup was that the exhaust would warm up the brake, then when you shut it down in the cold, it was moist and warm,, and would freeze up on that side

you all are forgetting the best thing of having an exhaust pipe out the side, in front of the tire.... i have mine set up like that and the best thing is filling a honda civi with somke when you leave it at the light.... teach them to leave their windows down

In most states, exhaust must exit behind the passenger compartment.

I have had mine like this for over 10,000 miles. doesnt drone bad and havnt had a problem with soot.
