Excessive fueling due to stuck plunger?

My truck seems to "take off" in second it fuels way harder then my foot is telling it to. It does slightly in 3rd but not near to the same extent, my guess there is its not as noticable in a taller gear. It gets especially bad with my puck turned on. I was always under the assumption it was caused by my fca possibly going bad. But today I was told it was a stuck plunger in my injector. Does this make sense? I was also told running my puck would cause more dammage and I should stop. Does this sound like an fca or plunger?

To an extent, I have already read and searched the forum thats why I was asking. I just want to be a positive before I start buying parts. I get the random high idle as well and am very convinced it is the FCA. I was just hoping for some reassurance or another opinion.
