Ever block off your wastegate line?

WOW. i blocked off my wastegate line and wow. Before i was getting 23 psi max with my edge juice hot attitude. Now i can get 30 psi on level 0. thats about it. if i hammer it to floor itll spike to 32 and then drop as I pick up speed and EGTS are way better. i still can hit 1200 ish-1300 but i have to work her hard. I think my turbo is crapping out though because the turbo psi drops off. To me it should stick near 30-37 for the while my foot is on floor.

The engine is defueling becuase it is reading overboost. A boost fooler is the right way to get extra boost, your ecm saves all those overboost codes with the hose undone also.

I doubt it will BF on 0, if it wasnt defueling the boost would not spike then drop. I promise, you will know when your turbo goes. Get a Quad boost fooler if you want more boost, but be careful I could make over 50psi with the stock turbo.

your not getting me. I heard the EDGE juice boost fools. can you stack boost foolers? If edge alone boost fools what else do i need? Even when im on setting 2 on the edge and plant my foot down the boost zips up to 33 psi quick and then falls off as i speed up. My egts are ALOT better and I dont hit max boost or egt set point but boost still drops. you tell me whats wrong? I think turbo is weak. May not be shot bearing wise but shes weak somehow. How can every1 else hit 45 psi with just a edge juice .

I promise I get you, and yes the Edge does boost fool, but to a certain point, a plugin boost fooler from Quadzilla will let your turbo build as much boost as it can.

The Edge has a boost limit feature that you can set along with low end fueling and all that,(I want to say the max is 35) but a boost fooler will let you build more becuase as far as the Edge is concerned you are only making 23lbs becuase now the Edge is being "fooled".

Your turbo is not weak, you pulled a hose off it now your ecm sees that and defuels the motor so you wont blow it up. That is why the boost spikes.

How much boost can you build on the HOT level with the hose unplugged?

? grenade turbo. Ill grenade it if i use a quadzilla boost fooler. If it only builds to 30 psi now how is that worse than getting a quadzilla boost fooler and letting it build 45 psi?

45psi is too much for a stock turbo, Yes. That is why the Edge only lets you make 35psi, and why the motor defuels when you start pulling of hoses.... A boost fooler is really to be used with a aftermarket turbo, but some guys use it with the stocker, not the best idea though.

When I had my edge I could pull 40psi on level 0 and saw as much as 42psi on level 2 with the max boost set at 38. Now that I just have guages and am back to stock I spike to 32 or so and drop down to 28 so yes, the edge boost fools on 0.

my old truck would build 45-48 psi with the stocker. too much yes above 26 psi the air starts to heat more than anything. the edge does boostfool. a wise man once told me "think about how fast this is spinning to make 23 psi of boost, now spin it fast enough to make 40 and you see why its a problem." the peak ,then drop, is not defueling its the wastegate catching up. @37 psi it has less air molecules than it did @ 23 psi. whats that mean ? higher egt's and less power.

i set max boost at 40 psi. Should I lower it? I wonder does it even pay to get trucked looked at then? Without vise gripping hose I cannot drive my truck with edge juice module in. (atleast i cant pass)

But when i vise grip air line to wastegate its atleast pretty reasonable. Should I get truck(turbo) looked at and should I have to uninstall my edge? It will be a real pain in the *** since its -36 ceclius right now. See I dont have factory warranty anymore but I have LUBRICO extended warranty and my turbo is covered through them.
