electric fuel pressure gauge with fass vs. no fass
electric fuel pressure gauge with fass vs. no fass
please pardon my ignorance. i have my gauges installed/hooked up-except for the fuel pressure gauge- because i have yet to get my fass system installed. (need to find the time!!) so, my question is-would the location of the fuel pressure gauge hook up be different having a fass set up versus no fass set up? i figured i could at least get the gauge hooked up if nothing would be different, etc. it will be a couple of more weeks before i install my fass. any input would be greatly appreciated.
Here's a great answer for you....
Yes and no! Hahaha!
If you keep your stock fuel filter (assumes using a FASS II) then the port on the filter housing is the one you will most likely be using either way.
If you bypass your stock filter housing (and throw it away like I did
assumes a FASS I) you will need to get a T and install that in the feed line as close to the injection pump as possible. Mine is about 6"-8" from the inlet.

No sweat! Sorry if my humor came across wrong.... today is my birthday and I am using that as my excuse for acting a little sillier than usual.
Glad I could help you. By the way, the FASS II is the way to go. I got my FASS I before anyone has done any testing to see if there really was any benefit to having the air seperator on there. Lots of test were performed using clear tubing and never a bubble of air was found just utilizing the FASS II. Sort of ticks me off, but I do like the location of my filters now much better than stock.
