EGT question
I've asked this before, but I do not think that I am asking the right way...
04.5 3500 SRW, Hot Edge juice with attitude, walbro 392, glacier diesel big line kit, air raid drop in filter, cool blue hose on intake/turbo side of things, 5 inch straight pipe after where cat used to be. On level 3, I cannot get past 60 MPH without being over 1300*, and on 5, I cannot get over 55. (this is from a stop to WOT) This seemed to happen all of a sudden a few months ago, nothing strange changed about my driving habbits, everything seems to run normal with day to day driving. It just seems as soon as I stand on it, I have to let off, and it does not seem normal. I am seeing 40-42 lbs of boost at WOT, boost is very responsive, 22 lbs of fuel pressure at WOT, 30 at idle, and rail pressure is 8-9k at idle, 20-22k at WOT.
So, lets just say that something is messed up, what would it be? What can I check? Shortly, I plan to get a built tranny, (1-2 months, before Christmas) and I want to make sure that my mill is turning right before I do this.
After seeing what can happen to a CTD when it gets too hot, (thanks TritonT) I do not want to tear up this truck that I enjoy so much for nothing. (Play=Pay, and I know this.)
What do ya think?
TIA-
