I installed a probe into my manifold on the weekend. I was watching the gauge and I can pull 1250 on a hill in stock with just 35's on. Doesn't that seem abit high for being stock? What egt setting should I use for when I run a chip?

mine with a SuperB and everything else stock would max 1200... Now with the VA C3.2, I can hit 1500. I think 1250 is a-ok with big tires.

I read u was suppost to take ur highest setting with the truck stock and added 150* to it. Does that sound right? I would be at 1400* defuel.

Your truck stock should pull 1400 stock. I run 1350-1400 for 10 minutes at a time pulling steep grades with heavy loads. Ive pegged my 1600 degree gauge plenty of times as well

I have a pre and post pyro, and the temps can vary almost 500 degrees depending on load.
