being an old 12 valver i am new to this stacking ordeal my question is my buddy has an Edge Ez off his 04 will it work on my 06, he doesnt want hardly anything for it and if it stacks and will work on my 06 is it a good stack with my current upgrade the Bully dog triple dog with Crazy larry, i also have a quad boost fooler on its way, thanks for the help.

 

depends if its an 04.5 or an 04...you don't want it either way.

Quadzilla Boost Fooler is the ticket! i beta tested it when i had crazy larry.

 

thanks for the reply, i talked to ya about a month ago about the boost fooler, i just ordered one friday hope to get it this week, on the back of the ez it says 2003 ez but it came off his 04 cummins dont know if it is 04.5 or not but it only has 3 plug ins on it, why dont i want it does it not help he only wants $100 for it sounds like it would be a good deal if it will stack, why did you get rid of your crazy larry did you not like it. thanks alot

 

if it says 03 it won't work. dude jump on that for $100 and re-sell. i have a deal on mine for $250...haven't literally sold it yet.

stacking an EZ with a Bullydog will do nothing but add more smoke for the most part....Extreme and Crazy Larry already add enough pressure.

I did like crazy larry and i have been anti smarty..... but when a you get a chance to sell something at a difference price, i take advantage of it. EVERYTHING is for sale for a price. the new smarty software looks promising..i'll test drive it this weekend.....and the smarty will stack better with modules. I'll be running a Hot Juice/Smarty stack soon and later a TST/Smarty stack when i get a new turbo.

You can run a '03-04 EZ on the 600's but it's not recommended due to the higher rail pressures that the 600's generate.
BTW, the EZ also has a built in boost fooler so if installed you won't need the Quadzilla fooler. Just set the EZ to level 0.

Wrong. 04.5+ trucks have electronic controlled waste gates....03-04 don't. The EZ doesn't do boost fooling on the newer trucks. EZ doesn't have a level zero...its 1, 2, or 3 or not plugged in.

Extreme and Crazy Larry already add pressure, you don't want anymore. Like MikeyB said lots of pressure doesn't have a good reputation in the 600 (or 610) motors.

 

So set me straight. On the 600's you can't use the MAP sensor for boost fooling?

I thought all of Edge's 3rd gen boxes have boost fooling....

They do boost fooling on 04.5 and up with the MAP sensor. But the levels did change to 1,2 or 3 with no more 0.

Well i know this: my EZ didn't do boost fooling. I was told this was because of the different style waste gate on 04.5+ trucks. The Juice does boost fooling...not the EZ on 04.5+.

i know for fact while running a bullydog/EZ stack i had stock boost psi....the ez gave me nothing but smoke. At the track, with the Bullydog/EZ stack, the EZ setting on determined .2 seconds. When it was stacked with my Juice, it increased 1/4 mile times by 1 second.

 

My EZ didn't add anymore boost compared to stock (22psi on level 2). I had to install an adjustable boost elbow to increase the boost. Now it's 30psi on level 2.
The boost fooler clamps the MAP sensor voltage so the ECM won't set the overboost code and defuels when the boost gets above a preset level.

its my understanding boost elbows can't be installed with the new wastegate.....but i could be wrong.

 

You can bypass the electronic solenoid w/out buying any electronics.If you have any additional fuel and try running the stock turbo you will see too much boost.
