Edge

Well, it's taken 6 months but I just put the edge / attitude in my 2006 six speed.
Wow - what a difference.

Here's my concern question...The only upgrade that I've done is changed muffler (5" MBRP Cat back). Everything else is stock

If I put it on stage 5 (extreme), keep in mind this is a six speed, could I get in trouble? I need to find out my limits and what every thing means:
EGT (What's the max I should ever see that number)?
BOOST (" ")
ENG TEMP ( " ")
WHAT OTHER READINGS DO I HAVE?

I'll try to answer some of your questions but I'm no expert.
1. Even though you have a 6 speed running on extreme will soon ware out your stock injectors, CP3, and your clutch.
2. Max EGT: 1350 for short periods of time will be ok. I would set my defuel @ 1350
3. Stick to 36 psi on the boost. 37 and up your flirting with danger
4. engine temp: 210 is what I've set mine to.

First thing I would do is to change my low boost settings to 5 (most responsive) on all levels.
Second: Set the defuel for clutch slipage.

I hope this helps some maybe someone better will chime in

EH,

My stock clutch will slip if I get on it hard in stage 5 (in 6th gear). If you want to rod on it constantly save yourself the trouble and get a new clutch that can handle the power. The manual that comes with the edge doesn't explain half the stuff the edge has on it. But play around with it for a bit and you will find out what suits you best. Wouldn't recommend towing anything in level 3 or above with a stock clutch/intake/turbo.

EGT: I set my alarm at 1250 (safe side) but 1350 is fine anything higher and things start to melt.

Boost: 40PSI on a stock turbo

Eng Temp: 212

Contrary to what edge says I get my best mileage on level 2 or 3 not 1. I avg around 18mpg or so driving the way I do which is mostly conservative. Hope this helps you out a bit. Good luck.

i also have mine at 1250 , and boost at 45 . i was seeing 36psi stock , the alarm just kept going off . on mine i usually never went up to 5 i usually used the race setting #4 . i am using the edge for gauges now , cause i just bought a smarty . i don't know i think the edge runs better than the smarty up top . if you have any questions feel free to ask me i will try to help .

???

It is too much for the clutch. The injectors and cp3 are not a concern.

How much will a new intake do for me? I've been thinking about the AFE stage II. Is that mostly for keeping the engine cooler?
