DRW Options

i am in the market for a new set of 19.5 wheels or even up to 22.5"s for my incoming 07 MC DRW. so far the nicest set i have seen are the 19.5 Driv Dons. i also like the look of the alcoa types, but they are kind of too plain looking. there has to be more selection than what i have already come across. there are some nice wheel styles that come in only the 17" size and those won't cut it. gotta be at least 19.5. as much as i would love to get the Driv Dons, another guy in town already has them. i kinda don't want to be the copycat guy, especially when he lives like 20 minutes away. even some of the drw styles i have come across are so cheesy looking with flamed cutouts and such..there has to be more selection somewhere!!! any ideas?? btw, i don't like anyhting that american force has to offer either. i'm sure they offer a superb product, but appearance-wise, it just doesn't grab me! no imagination is probably the biggest downfall for the manufactures of these wheels.

I would like to see the 19.5 Driv Dons on a truck since I don't think 16s or 17s are nearly big enough for our trucks. I love my 22.5s. You can get them them custom milled to a pattern you like.

hey wiggs, glad to hear from you. i really envy your budget! your rig is awesome and from what it looks like, well plotted out!

i have run across a few companies sites that can create custom wheels. but there sites do not go into much detail about the process and more importantly, the costs involved. being out here in hawaii, there is nothing remotely close to what these companies are doing, so i have no idea on what to expect.

on another note, it's really hard to appreciate a full-sized truck in a photograph. especially when the truck is stand-alone. so could you do me a favor and post a pic of your truck with maybe someone standing next to it to get a good idea on how big these trucks really are? or better yet...maybe next to your lambo?

and as for the 19.5 dons...i have never noticed or even seen a mega/dually until a couple of months ago. we ended up parking next to one in the macy's parking lot. and guess what? it was outfitted with the 19.5 dons and rig-type tires. it was this truck alone that sparked my interest and got me to order my first dodge which is described in my sig. the don's are really shiny and pretty deep on the rear. i have never seen anything like it. there are hundreds of fixed up diesel trucks on the island, but none like that dons outfitted drw! i really wish there wer more options to choose from for our trucks.

thanks,
darren

I actually thought they were inexpensive, but I guess I am used to dealing with Lamborghini and other high-performance wheels.

I will try to take some pics of the truck and the Lambo over Thanksgiving weekend. Right now, the Lambo is in Pittsburgh and I am here in Columbus. If you see that truck again, take pics!!!!

And thanks for the compliments Darren!
