Yep. Try to keep it to a minimum. Unless you feel like destroying your injectors, lift pump, and injection pump, along with the possibility of burning a hole in a piston.

The noise it makes is startling if you haven't heard it before. When it happened to me a long long time ago I thought I blew the thing up. That was in 2005 though. Courtesy of a very hard fueling TST and non-modded pump. I say again, that noise is shocking.

I used to experience this but not like explained above. Mine was like a miss in my highest gear pulling extremely hard. Kind of like a bad spark plug missing some. I never heard much but could feel it.
I no longer have the problem after installing a second cp3.
