Don's 45 h.p. edm's & Quad Race

Has anyone tried dons 45 h.p. edm's with the quad race box? I have an ats and a sps62 ready to go on before I do anything else. A bought a used TST but, I think I am sticking with the Quad, because I really like it and I do not need 500 h.p. With the injectors I should be able to top 400 h.p. and still get excelent economy. I am now leaning hard to the small edm's , for the mpg increase and low smoke. P.S. TST for sale!

Why the heck would you get rid of the TST? Send it in for the adjustable timing upgrade and stack it with the Quad! The Quad box can benefit from some duration.

Or, you can wait 'til summer when Quad's supposed to release a stackable box.

Either way, keep that TST. Quad's new monitor will be able to control both!

The Flux 1's with the Quad box will yeild nearly 90 HP, not the normal 40. The pressure really turns them on

I thought with an more or less stock truck the quad race alone would put you around 402?

To clarify, I am wanting what I consider drivable 400 h.p. By drivable to me, low smoke, low end torque, " I seldom shift above 1900-2000 rpm" , maybe I am missing the boat, but to get the low end with the TST, it sounds like the twins program and alot of smoke. I am very happy with how the power comes on with the Quad box, and if the flux sticks add 90 h.p. with the Quad box, it sound like just the ticket to me. Also I think they should help keep the temps in check, which a TST at the same power level would not.

Depends on the truck or dyno you start on. There was a 05 truck with 4" exhaust and our intake put down a little over 450 a couple of weekends ago.

On a 600 truck you should be all over the 400 mark or a little over with the race box. The 305 trucks seem to vary a little more, but so do the stock dyno numbers. OUr 305 truck only dynoed 235 stock and 37x with the race module. I have also seen trucks make almost 150hp with them? That is on the 03-04 trucks. I am not sure why, but the 600's are a little more consistant on the dyno.

I have not run the EDM, but it seems since the module is adjustable you could find a spot that fit your needs. I know these trucks run really well with modified injectors, so it would be worth a shot. We used to extrude hone a bunch of injectors, but we just don't have time anymore. I really like the way the trucks run with them and I think the EDM's are supposed to be better.

the tst/ez with around 400 hp is not a big smoker to drive. now when around 480-490 it can be, thats with a stock turbo. I would keep the tst myself, you will see the big numbers are consistantly made with it. save for a twin turbo upgrade and then hold on ,with almost no smoke. there are sets out there using the stock charger and keeping the cost down.

This may be a little off subject and if so I appologize, but what would the injectors do to fuel milage? I assume that with your foot in it, it would be worse but what if you drive normal and what about at cruseing speeds like 80 on the interstate?
How bout the temps too?
Thanks
Will

Don M, at what setting do you gain almost 90 HP ? So if you have the quad box set on the 60hp setting you really in theory adding 150hp(quad 60hp + F1 90hp). Can F1's handle pressure or are they as bad as stock ? Thanks
