Does walbro pump require return line

Does walbro pump require return line
I am looking at installing the walbro pump. Does the pump have to have a return line and or regulator or can I just install it inline and rely on the existing plumbing? Thanks for the info.

You can T into the stock 5/16 return line. There are two regulators most use. one is the simflo you can find at vulcan and the other is a swagelok.
