Does this sound good??

Here are my plans for the truck befor christmas, i would like to know what you guys think, and have a couple questions..
- Diprocal fp/boost/pyro Gauges
- Glacier Walboro 392 kit
- Smarty
- AFE Stage2 Pg7
- 6" Stacks
- Mag Hytec rear diff cover, change all fluids to Amsoil
Then After christmas start looking into
- Sbc single disc clutch
- Rail pressure gauge
- Something to stack with the smarty.
Now i had a couple questions..
1st - What tools are needed to install the glacier kit, and how hard is this?
2nd- Whats the best way to go about cutting the whole in the bed to install the stacks?
3rd- What clutch would be reasonable priced that i could grow into?
4th- What seems to be a good stack with the smarty?
And thanks in advance for any advice given..

Glacier kit only needs basic tool, and a sharp knife (utility knife) don't cut your finger off, to cut the hose with. Pretty much it...
I say get a hole saw for the hole in the bed....

on the SMARTY I do not know, maybe call Bob Wagner at Madselectronics and ask him, he has been in on all the dyno tests, so he can tell you what works good, and what might clash some...

If I had your truck this is what I would do.... (this is just my opinion)

If your planning on going all out eventually...

1. GAUGES - Optix pyro, boost(100psi), fuel pressure (100psi), rail pressure.
2. Glacier Walboro 392 Comp. kit
3. AFE Stage2 Pg7
4. Exhaust
5. A downloader... Personally I would go with the bully dog. Everyone's opinion are different on this issue.
6. Clutch
7. Head studs
8. Bigger turbo or turbos
9. MP-8 Pressure Box
10. Tst - with adjustable timing and all the other options

Personally I wouldn't mess with amsoil in my truck...

To answer your question -

1. It's pretty simple. You'll need a few wrenches and a sharp knife.
2. I used a hole saw.
3. I would go with a South Bend Clutch hands down... A dual disk if you want big HP
4. A pressure box or tst - or both. Even tho they advertise no added timing on even numbers you will still get timing rattle with the standard tst. It happened on my truck and a few others I have talked to.

You can make good hp with any downloader...
One truck has tst/smarty/pressure box/injectors/twins - 620hp
lmills smarty/pressure box/injectors twins - 730hp
my truck tst/bully dog/sps66 - 660

Smarty is good if your worried about warranty but obviously after all of your mods its down the tube

X2 on the great post. My goal is to go Lukens route. Id like to get the most power I can on a stock cp3 and injectors and someday waaaay down the road have a nice little blue bottle sitting in the bed.

question 2: you can use a torch, hole saw, or a sawzall, all work pretty well

question 4: I agree with Luken on this also, a pressure box(TS mp8) or a TST will work great with the Smarty

you have a pretty good start!

I have PML diff. covers, and when I installed them, I put Royal Purple in the diffs, and I dont really have to worry about them, if at all, anymore. I will switch out the fluid a while down the road

hope this helps
