Does anyone have pics or know a link for a "how to" for a 3 gauge pod
I was looking at Diesel Manors sale on that 3 gauge pod and thought it would be a good Christmas present for myself
. It has egt, boost (30 or 60) and tranny temp. I am buying a dd pan with a sender port soon so thats easy but how hard is it/how do I hook up the pyro and boost. All help and pictures are much appreciated. Thanks again and Happy Turkey/Football Day!

The pyro isnt too bad, easiet way is to pull the passenger inner fender plastic(if you have one) and drill the side of the exhaust manifold thru the fender well opending(if you have a lift, dont bother pulling the wheel) if you dont, might make it easier to pull the wheel.
For the boost guage, I just bought the boost bolt from diesel manor, really is pretty easy, pull a factory bolt on the manifold, then replace with the boost bolt(be careful not to torque it down too much and break if off)
For the trans temp sender, I also bought their hot-line tap so I can get the hotest reading from the trans fluid, it was pretty easy to swap out too, just a little messy on your back getting a little bit of trans fluid in your face/ear
Diesel manor also has info on which wire to tap for the guage lights, and also which one to tap for keyed hot (trans temp/egt)
I just made my own little harness for keyed hot, light pwr, and grounds for the three guages in the pillar, then ran them down to each point for power/ground
Give me a shout if you have any problems, might be able to help you out

I have the hot line for tranny as well and man was that easy! But no as easy as the boost bolt. Not to highjack, but have any of you guys had a problem with the boost bolt? Mine boost line has come out numerous times, it seem I can get the nut to tighten enough to hold the line in. Not to much greif please, HA but I put a dab of superglue on it to keep it in place. But I think I might need a new lock nut or something, whew sorry for the long winded jack! HA
Make sure and get the full sweep trans guage, because my short sweep spotlights pretty bad as you've seen. The install was a little easier on mine because I already had the pyro tapped. The rest is pretty easy, especially the boost. The trans wires you'd just have to tie up and just keep the sender in the box for now. Pretty simple, just takes time.
Now you'd probably have to pay me to help install your gauges, simply because when I helped install your AFE inatke you spit Copenhagen on me when I was under your truck numerous times! Yes, when you spit from 6'-8" up, the dip spit definately splashes a few feet away where someone might be laying.....and yes I still owe you a punch in the stomach!

I did a post some time ago about that pod, check here.
If I were to do it again I would either do it the same or go back to a SPA dual gauge in the SRT A pillar spot which I had on another truck. The DG210 gauge works well for EGT/Trans temp. You get to select high level warning points to flash the LED at you plus it has a recall function for highest level obtained. For example.. if you zero it out you can see what the highest temp was during your trip.
It also has an output that will allow you to use the EGT gauge as a cool down timer. More on that here.
I don't feel the need for a boost gauge but am sure it could come in handy if I had low power & smoke I could look at the gauge and confirm there is a boost issue otherwise I hardly ever look at it.

Dang, thanks for the co-wrenching heads-up Kevin!
Blaine's after me to help with his gauges, now I know to bring my Tyvek hazmat suit...
he could have worse habits, though - don't ya hate the drunks whizzing & chumming
on the tires of the truck you're working under after dark?
