you know if it's from a reg or a q/c ?? a q/c will fit just fine but a reg cab kinda sits between the seats.

I think the line driver is a small box that you splice a line to a speaker and it allows you to hook-up rca's for the Amp.

If you have the Infinity stereo you cant "just splice" wires.

no i dont have the infinity system, thats why i want the bass.. i just wanna run the sub from a MTX 400watt 4 channel amp
it just goin to run the sub thats it, and thats why iam looking at the line driver aswell. But what i need to know is if the sub has only 2 wires coming out of it then i can just tie it into +/- on the amp. Iam mainly just intrested in the box if the sub is bad,,, .oh well, just replace it but now iam reading around and seeing that the box minght have to be ported..? is this true or will a 500watt sub work in that enclosed box.?

thanks

Yeah, the line output driver would be the box that lets you add rca cables to a factory radio (as mentioned above). The ones I've used wire into the rear speakers + and - it should have directions. Yes there should be a wire terminal on the speaker box with a pos and neg. You connect those terminals to the terminals on the amp with speaker wire (probably 12-14 gauge). What type of sub is it? It shouldn't have to be placed in a ported box. Most subs hit clearer in my opinion in a sealed enclosure. Ported boxes give you loud bass but not really clear bass. And sure a 500w sub would work in a sealed box. If you do have to buy a new sub check out http://www.woofersetc.com because they are cheap and professional. I've dealt with them a few times getting my buddies to buy systems so Ican put them in. If you need more say the word.
