Do I need a new down pipe?

Swapping out my turbo and when I took the exhaust clamp off two small chunks of metal fell out. After removing the exhaust elbow I saw this:

Will I be able to bolt everything back together w/o problems or do I need to go get a new down pipe? Thanks!

Wow....never seen that before!!! Yep, a new downpipe is definitely in your future as you will never be able to seal that thing. If you have a local truck shop (big truck that is) you should be able to buy just the flange and if your welding skills are up to snuff just cut the flange off your existing jobber and weld the new flange in....could easily be done for under $40.

Not a bad idea! The downpipe is 4" and the flange is 3.5". Will a big rig shop have something like that?

And before someone says get the bigger elbow, I would love to but I need the truck back on the road by Thursday so time is limited and I'll to that upgrade later.

Most of those kinds of shops should have a 3.5 flange. Just know that depending on your turbo upgrade you may have to get a new downpipe regardless. My aftermarket turbo required an HX-40 style (3rd gen) to be able to connect it to the turbine housing.

You will need a new 3.5" flange. FleetPride in Commerce City may have something.
