Dipricol gauge Questions
Dipricol gauge Questions
Ok so I ordered a set of the Dipricol optix gauges (this is my second set BTW-First set was in my 03 Excursion)
I got the full sweep trans gauge, pyro and boost. I also got the cooler line that attaches the trans sender in line.
So the color on my boost gauge does not match the other 2 gauges and has a bright streak of light through the bottom of the gauge. Its being returned. The full sweep trans gauge today was acting funny. Its was jumping all over the place. Well I thought ok maybe there is a grounding issue as I used some teflon tape to help make a seal as the first time I installed it it wept a little. Well I removed all the tape snugged it up and took her for a drive. Driving around the block the temp reached 140-160 which I thought was unusual for driving about 2 miles. ok so I get home park in driveway and idle for a bit no change in temperature in park or neutral. So I shut truck down and turn key to on position and gauge resets itself and I start truck well temp goes to 140 dropping 20 degrees from where it had sat about 10 seconds but only did that when I shut it down.
Am I missing something here w/ this? Has Danin Dipricols quality control gone down hill lately.
Anyone have any input? I am going to drive more but running around the block temps should not be 160 degrees. ...I dont think they should be my fords took forever to reach that temp w/ normal driving. I have gauges so when I tow my 5ver I know what the heck is going on and so far about the only thing I trust is the pyro.
Thanks for any and all input

Seems to work but does seem to run hotter same driving than my Excursion w/7.3L did.
