Dealer/mods?
I am going to the dealer eventually for the roll over valve recall. I know it would be a very good idea to remove all evidence of mods .My question is exactly how do you hide that big ol hole i drilled in manifold for the thermocouple?

Get a piping plug to fit in there, but they should not be able to say anything about a mod. They have to prove that it is a cause of the problem. I think that it is a law about that.

Plug
Where can you fing a piping plug? When the dealer ask why you have the plug there, what would you tell them?

You won't have to worry about your thermocouple. If you have a chip you'd want to remove it. I just had some work done on mine and I only removed my Va. I left the adjustable boost elbow and all my guages and nothing was said. The only thing I 've ever taken off is the Chip and boost elbow wtih no problems. Good luck

Leave your gauges on it, if they say anything, tell them you like to monitor your truck while towing, because diesels exhaust can get hot when towing, and you want to be sure everything is fine.

i leave the gauges in. but i wouldnt put a brass pipe plug in there. gets too hot and make soften just enough to make it really a pain in the rear to remove.

mods
I am not worried about them seeing it i am worried about a voided warranty when something really goes wrong. If my local dealer sees any aftermarket they tend to get "VOID HAPPY"
