Like I posted in another forum, I was at a steady 9# of fp for the last 10000 miles. The other day it started fluctuating between 5-9. This is even on the stock program.... And she is getting noisy in the tank....so GDP is in short order!!!!!!
I have heard that about the 62/12, but the guy at HTT swears that is the turbo i "need". I think it could be a marketing ploy. Because more than 1 person (masonic-dodge) has said the same thing!!!!! So I will look at bigger ones, but I need the GDP soon!!!!!!

well if you call Industrial Injection they will tell you you need a SPS 6280, aka 62/14 just like what morkable has. Mine is sitting in the shop waiting install time.
yes the crazy larry for our trucks is 180hp but lets not forget about the infamous scary larry, its atleast 230hp.
Why do you need different stacking programs from a Smarty? I stack with my crazy larry with my TST with no problems.

Go w/ Smarty.... You will have endless adjustabilities w/ present programs and programs to come, you WILL get advertised HP #s maybe a little bit more, you will actually be able to communicate w/ Smarty's designer and get GREAT customer service(bully dog doesn't come close or give a sh@% too). There will soon be a Crazy (WHATEVER) killer program for the nasty built up trucks. You will be fine w/ Smarty and have a programmer that will grow up w/ you, no matter how fast you want to go.

my smarty and sps62/14 is a perfect match. not laggy, tons of pulling power, and egts stay below 1200*. blows smoke until the turbo lights off, and then just a tad of a grey haze. perfectly streetable manners until I misbehave. I really love it.

I would vote for the smarty also. I havent run one yet... (but I will come spring) I have ran the bd though,, and I wasnt impressed. The attention to detail just isnt there. I didint like the way it made my truck run, or the way it made it shift. Now to be honest I may have only noticed this because I have ran most of the other boxes out there, and I may be nit picking,, but it would surge while on cruise control, and it didnt have near the power that the diablosport did on its own.

Wow a lot of discussion on this. I feel that the final answer is that each person needs to decide what they want. Power, Speed, Towing, ect.......
I like my smarty, but I am starting to hate my LP. If it drops below 5# I will be parking the truck till my GDP gets here....

Chapter President
My Smarty, RV275's and FASS are a good combo for everyday driving. More then enough smoke and good acceleration.

I have both, I have had the BDTD w/CL since it first came out. I have had the Smarty since it first came out. I have had a lot of track and street time on both. Both have worked well on my truck and I have not had any real complaints about either. I have chosen to stay with the Smarty. Smarty just seems to be more flexible now and I believe that it will stay ahead of the BDTD in options in the future. Bottom line mine runs faster with the Smarty on my truck with my current mods.

I would say the smarty. I had try both of them so far the smarty been the smoothes programmer on my truck. Just put the new program in the smarty and I put it on level 9 and it slip my new OFE clutch so I wont be going that high anymore on the smarty. I love my smarty.

Oh, whoops...I forgot to mention(if you can't tell by my sig). I have used both on an 03HO(yeah yeah I know CL isn't available), but I can compare BD's 130hp program to SmartyCR's 130hp program, and let's just say a BANKS sixgun(@126hp RATED) is much stronger than BD's 130hp EXTREME program, and I've got dyno#s to prove it. OH,...and did I mention BD's customer support is as bad as Banks
