Coverter advice needed

Want to use my TST upper power levels on my 04.5 600. Would like to upgrade converter and bv. I have narrowed my choices to ATS, DTT. Any advice please.

Talking

I have nothing bad to say about any company, I did tons of research and PM'd several members on this site that had all kinds of transmission work. ATS, DTT and Suncoast all have happy customers, I talked to all three vendors on the phone and decided on DTT. I have had mine in for about two weeks and it is BY FAR the best modification I have done to my truck.

I'm sure they are all good products but talking to DTT on the phone just sold me on the company as a whole. Whenever I wear this beast out, my next truck will have a DTT tranny in it within 5K miles. It made that much of a difference..................

I also run a DTT converter. I bought theirs mostly because they are the cheapest of the big three. If you plan on making really high HP you may want to get a ATS or Suncoast triple disc converter. That's what all the big boys run...
I have been very happy with my DTT converter/Valve body. They are plenty good for my current setup....

I also have a 04.5 600 and my "converter" is one piece with the pipe, I thought converters were made to replace? The only way to remove mine is cut it off.

He's asking about the Torque Converter, not the Cat- converter.

I just got my Goerend Bros. Triple Disk Converter delivered tonight. Can’t wait to install it. I did lots of research and talked to all the vendors. I personally feel that I cannot go wrong with Goerends product. And Dave will stand behind his product as well as giving fantastic customer support. Plus you can’t beat the warranty he gives.

How much do the tranny mods cost? I want to be able to run a strong chip without slipping. What would be required?

My advice is to find a local installer that you feel comfortable with. ATS and DTT are great products, but if the wrong guy installs them it can be a bad time. My DTT installer was top notch and that is why I chose them.

I am very impressed with my ATS set up. 30,000 miles at 500+ hp...not one issue!
