When should torque coverter lock?
I have the edge juice attitude screen and i watch my torque lock up. it obviously does it in 4th (overdrive) or in 3rd when i press tow/haul button. But sometimes when its cold outside (-45 C) in winter i drive around town in 2nd just to help truck warm up faster. and when i do i notice sometimes torque locks and sometimes it doesnt(according to juice screen). Is this normal? should or can your torque lock in all gears, 1,2,3,4th 9OD)? Im not for certain but sometimes it seems like truck /tranny shutters when torque is about to lockup.??
I know on my 04 it will lock if I am in manual 2nd regardless of the tow.haul button. I am sure someone with more knowledge will jump on here or do a search as I know it has been discussed a few times.
