Torque Coverter Lockup

I drive a 2002 Ram 3500 dually w/47RE automatic transmission. How can I tell when the TC goes into lockup? Thanks!

Mine feels like it's shifting into another gear. Mine locks somewhere between 32 and 50 depending on how fast I'm accelerating. At first, I thought my truck had a five speed tranny.

An easy way to tell is to shut off the od and then from a standing start accel and you can easily count the shifts. After the shift into third you will note a 300-400 rpm drop after a few seconds and that is the lockup engaging. Same thing happens with the od on in fourth, it's just easier to note the rpm drop when you hit 3rd lock up.
