I just bought another 06 mega cab, it seems a little quicker than my last one when I bought it new(stock). My first question is: Is there any way to tell if there is a programmer downloaded on it? I'm wanting to order a smarty jr, so if I do, and find out there is something downloaded on my truck, will the smarty still work, or better yet, will it let me know if there is anything downloaded?

If there is a program other than stock, Smarty JR will not recognize it, unless it's another Smarty tune, Then it would have to be un-VIN locked from the previous owner. Either way, You would have to have it "returned to stock" before your Smarty would accept it...maybe

Smarty has been able to "overcome" BullyDog tunes, on 03/04 CR's. Your 06??

When you plug in the Smarty, you will know quite promptly what's next... my guess is, you will be fine.

Thanks, there is a shop a couple of towns away that sells smartys. Maybe they'll let me make sure it will accept the download before I buy one from them.
