Could Smarty be used to add features?

For example the computer controls a lot of things on our trucks including the lights. I would like the perimeter lighting that most new trucks/cars have now and was wondering if a Smarty would be able to do this and other things like the fog lights stay on with brights, etc...

If it could it would really ROCK!

And if it can't why?

I would bet they can.

If something were stopping it, I would guess it would be $. It's not free for someone to go through the programming and write software.

I was wondering the same thing the other day, about something different though, high idle (not the automatic one, the cruise controlled).

PJ, smarty does enable high idle, you just have to install the ecm connector jumper first, then you can use the cruise operated high idle. doing mine this weekend.

ps, you stole my clutch!

Oh, cool. See, I thought it just enabled the regular old one that not all trucks are programmed with (climate dependent). I thought that would be pretty crappy to get it enabled (and ground the pin) to only have it wiped every time you loaded/unloaded the "stock" Smarty program.

sore loser

My wife hasn't figured out how I can get a FREE high dollar clutch and now "need" to drop $ on a Smarty.....?
I have some money coming that was supposed to be earmarked for a Pac, looks like it will be better spent something else for now!
