convertor wont unlock???????

convertor wont unlock???????

Having some stress tonight...........

Seems as tho my tourque convertor wont unlock, i have noticed a couple strange things with my tranny the last few weeks, its a full built race version.

I had just switched to efi live and noticed some changes at that point, after my issues today i put the stock file back on and then it wouldnt shift into next gear until 2500+ rpm. I pulled over and put the smarty back on it to which the tranny would shift at normal spots. Although when i come to a complete stop and put it in reverse, the truck will do about 40mph backwards, not normal. and it pushes real bad at idle witht foot on the brake.

also i have a pacbrake on it and today coming home when it would shift down at 50mph it would actually acellerate for about 5mph and the decelerate for the same, it will cycle thru this until u shut the pac off. I contacted pac today, they say there is no possile way the brake can do that as they only send a ground signal to the ecm.

tranny fluid is clean and no burnt smell.

truck is a 07 5.9.

I used to have my sig filled in but not sure where it went.

anyways anyone have any ideas??

I would change out the Governor transducer and solenoid pack. See how it does then. Before i changed out any parts I would call the tranny builder and see what they think.

So I dropped the pan and found that the valve body actually have a piece missing out of the casting causing it to bypass. I have since swapped out the entire valve body to which it shifts perfectly, however now the tourque WON'T lock at all.

Never did I get it hot, even when I dropped the oil and pan, the oil didn't smell burnt.......

Back to the drawing board......
