Contacting Dave @ Goerends?

I finally have the money to purchase my T/C and V/B from Goerends. Called Goerends to place an order and I can't get a return call. I've left several messages and email's and nothin. Does anyone have a better way to contact him?

Dave not only runs a shop in the middle of the most scenic, but remote part of Iowa, I think he also teaches techs at one of the state colleges. With the holiday, I'm sure he is short on time. Be patient and keep calling. It might take him a day or two to get back with you, but he will take care of you.

I would call rather than email. I don't know that high speed exists in St Lucas (No insult intended to those that live in the area). My Blackberry doesn't work in that part of the state.

This is hearsay , so be interested to see any other responses . http://www.goerend.com/

Call Garrett @ http://puredieselpower.com/ 715-254-1833 Order what you need through him and they will be on there way today!

Dave is the best for trans parts which makes him a very busy man and hard to get a hold of.

Garrett / Pure Diesel Power got the ball rolling on my full billet trans. You wont be sorry.

I have to agree with the busy part. Leave a call and leave an e-mail with him and eventually he does get to you. It took a while for me too, but I couldn't be happier with the result.

Have Dave do the install if you are going to purchase one of his trannys It is worth the extra time to get it done right

I tried to get in touch with him for 2 weeks before I finally talked to him. He said he would call me back in 2 days with more info so I gave him my credit card info. 3 weeks later and still no call back so I ordered from someone else.

Apparently he makes good stuff and is a very talented tranny guy, but it's no secret that it's tough to actually get the wheels in motion with him. He gets a free pass by most on this site, but for me it was just too frustrating, I just don't have the extra time to play phone tag for a month. I sure would have liked to buy his product and believe me, I tried.

Coolslice,
I understand your frustration (past tense) as I had the same troubles when I was ready to order. Now after spending two full days in the shop with the Dave and the guys I fully understand what he is dealing with. Aside from having 2 people upstairs in the office...Dave stands at the bench building trannies all day with 2 separate phone headsets on. They are doing everything they can to handle all the work. They are just that good. You will not be disappointed with the parts or customer service after the sale.

I just don't understand why if he is so busy that he can't hire some more help? It's pretty selfish of me to imply how he should run his business and that's not my intention, but it just seems like if he's possibly losing customers ($$$) then that would be the smart move, wouldn't you agree?

I can't imagine how busy he must be, but his customers are probably just as busy, I know I am.

I have called Dave at 10Pm at night and caught him at the shop working trying to get caught up on his work from being on the phone so much during the day. To say he is busy, is a major understatement. Just curious, have you tried contacting one of his dealers?
