Commander readings?/Smoke Switch

Just finished Commander installation and have a few questions. Why does the trans temp go to 100 degrees when the smoke switch is turned on? and also, it is supposed to give Xzillaraider module max fuel right? I'm only seeing 37 psi of boost. Shouldn't it be higher than that? I'm sure some of you are using commander with aftermarket turbos capable of more than 37 psi right? Just a few points I noticed on my maiden voyage. Also found out I need a new lift pump too , but hey, better to find out now, than along side the road! It only shows 10 psi at idle, and 0 at WOT. Well, on to more mods! Sorry it was a little long, think I'm still feeling the effects of the Commander!

Shoot, on an '06 10 p.s.i. at idle is awesome! We usually see about 6 p.s.i. at idle.

It is only going to see up to I think 38 or so pounds of boost as this is what the MAP sensor reads. You might be boosting more than that, but that is all it will see.

Thx. I got to thinking about that as probably a max for the factory MAP sensor. Anyone else notice the trans temp glitch with the smoke switch?

the smoke switch tells the ecm that the motor is at max boost, allowing max fuel. 37psi is all that your '03 turbo will put out.
smoke switch just gives you more fuel earlier than the ecm would do on its own. as to why the trans temp jumps to 100 i have no idea.

Are you sure you are only switching 5v onto the MAP sensor line? It sounds like the Tranny probe is getting feedback from it somehow? 5V would be 100deg as that is as low as the probe will go.

Well, the smoke switch is hooked up to the red and dk. blue wires at the Xzill module. It does work too! The other funny thing I noticed, is that the temp starts at 184 degrees. It also goes down when accelerating. I dunno, gonna check the ground later. Could the fact that I put some thread tape on the sensor probe prevent it from getting a good enough ground?

I guess if you put so much on it that the threads never actually touch that could cause issues????

Might be worth a try?

The only thing weird is that is appears that it only does this when you use the switch?

No, it also drops when boost goes up too. Almost in direct relationship with each other. I can't reach 37 psi of boost normally so it doesn't drop to 100, but at like 24 psi of boost it is a 124 degrees. The move together. The trans temp starts at 184 degrees too. I don't think that is right either.

Like Quad said you have something crossed up for the tranny temp to read that way. But like he said, 100 is the lowest reading it shows.

Also, in regards to your 37psi. When I ran my Xzillaraider, thats about the highest boost I ever saw from it. SO I think thats all you should expect.
In regards to that being the highest the Map Sensor will send, thats incorrect. I saw 45psi yesterday - the new Smarty program seems to create quite the boost levels....
