Commander problems

I finished installing my Quad Commander today and it worked great at first. When I went back later to take pics, now the screen is messed up. It won't even dispaly all the pixels and freezes up. Now what?

If you dont get it worked out, let me know. I've got a bullydog outlook you can have. That goes for anyone else needing guages too. I ended up going with analog because I couldnt stand the flickering numbers.

I called tech support and now my Commander is on it's way back to Quadzilla. They will either fix the problem or send me another unit. I was told some of the older units had screen problems. This is a bummer since I bought the Commander to use while I tow my trailer to Yellowstone next week. Analog gauges are sounding better all the time!

To say that the older units had screen problems is not really true.

Before the big backorder we had some displays that were raised slightly as I mentioned in another thread. I would say that it was caught and stopped before any number of them were sent out. We do know a few of them went out but, we ship so many we are not 100% positive where the issue started. All I know is that very rarely do we get one back that has that problem.

If it is the problem it is a slam dunk fix and is sort of dumb luck that at this stage in the game that you got one. You would have had to get one from someone that had it stuck way back on the shelf. That group of Commanders was a couple thousand ago.

Also, I betcha $1 that we get you going before your trip.

I got my replacement Commander today and slammed it in. About 20 minuets and I was back up and running. So far everthing is as it should. Thanks to Quadzilla Tech support for getting it here before my big trip to Yellowstone tomorow. The only thing missing now is maybe a Quad tow module!

The trans temp is 300 degrees because of 1 or 2 things.

1.) Either what you are screwing the probe into is not grounded (ie hotline)

2.) You did not use the fiber washer and the signal wire is getting grounded out.

Why do you think the Commander should be able to control the Edge Juice??
