Cold Air Intake

Is a cold air intake the way to go? I have a K&N filter in the factory air box. I guess what I wanna know is would it be worth changing and what would I gain?

Definitely worth changing, I've read somewhere that Dodge says DO NOT use K&N. I think if you wanna lower your EGT's improve your milage minutely, and hear your turbo more, you would benefit from getting a cold air intake. Alot of people on here will recommend AFE Stage 2 with a dry filter. If you wanna do it yourself try ****** Whistler and he's got a great intake at a great price!! Thanks, I was looking at a K&N cold air intake system and it costs around $200. It is the cheapest one that I have seen so far. I wonder why Dodge doesn't like K&N?

Supposedly they allow too large of particles through. Personally, I would stay away from them. You're putting it on a $40k truck, I would spend the extra just for peace of mind. Just my .02 worth

I would also agree on staying away from the K&N. The oiled filter is the problem. I run the AEM Workhorse intake. Very easy to clean and flows very well. Huge filter area. It also sounds really good.

Personally, Iv got an Amsoil dropin filter that seems to work pretty well for me.
Here is another site to check out for a intake idea.

If price is a huge concern look at our Monster Air Intake.

http://www.quadzillapower.com/products/intake.html

The website still shows the Green filter but, they now come with a Pro Dry S filter instead. The web should be updated in a few days.

Check with the DTR or other vendors on here as they are priced very well.
