I believe many of the programmers will due simply timing and duration on the lower power settings so you could go that route. Keep in mind that not increasing rail pressure when talking about programmers usually means not raising it above the factory max. It may alter what pressure it runs at certain rpms below max pressure if that makes any sense.

I run a bullydog triple dog. I never go above the performance settings and I never see any high rail pressures on the outlook, but I don't beat on my truck either. I also ordered a smarty to try it out.

Wow....You already had to replace the motor in your 2006 Megacab?

I do believe the Van Aaken C3.2 & the TST do not use rail pressure to make power.

You want to look for timing/duration boxes. This includes both the TST, Edge Attitude, and Van Aaken. They get their power increases by altering the timing and duration of the fuel delivery. Most of the "cheaper" boxes, Quadzilla, TS Performance, Bullydog, etc make their power by raising the rail pressure. The timing/duration boxes tend to run more expensive than the pressure boxes, but if fuel pressure is your concern then it is worth it.

What were the symptoms of the bad injector and how did that ruin the motor?

quadzilla can do a custom for you. he can remove the pressure from the module(or so i have heard). it wont make the advertised power, but will give you more than stock.

shell006 guess what happens is that it washes out the cylinder. No oil to lube the wall, not good! Some symtoms are the oil level raises or you might get a leak.

The superchip programer does not add more pressure than stock. Someone put an excellent post on here with fuel pressure readings. Do some searching and you'll find it only raises pressure a small amount on the bottom but stays the same as stock at wot.

BigBlueDodge,

You are incorrect. The bully dog downloader doesn't increase rail pressure.

The only time Bully Dog Raises Rail Pressure is in Extreme or Crazy Larry if you stay out of those 2 programs you will not have any additional rail pressure.

Sehrle,

I and about 5 others that I have talked to are seeing NO extra rail pressure increase from the Crazy Larry on either Spa or Di pricol rail gauges...

Is it because it raises it but the duration brings it back down to stock levels? I know it is 100% safe to run because it doesn't raise it on my truck.
