In channel vent visor/ window vents
Looking at getting some window vents but wanted to get some opinions first on what everybody likes. I haven't had a chance to look at them in the stores only online for now. I saw the ones that Cabelas sells, Auto VentShade and there own brand. I know I want the in-channel kind. What brand do you guys have and what do you or don't you like about them? I still have a gift certificate for Cabelas so any input from there 2 brands would be great. I see the ventshade uses 3M tape and I think the cabelas one does not. Thanks.
I got mine from GENOs, the front have no tape they just stay in with pressure front to back. The back ones have 2 sided tape. Both the front and the back go into the channel, they don't stick to your paint.
Mine seal great and I haven't had a problem with them yet 1 1/2 years.

I have had the in channel ones for about 2 years and no problems. I got mine from Geno's also and believe they are Auto Ventshade but not sure. As stated the fronts just fit into place and are held in place by the shape of the channel. The rears use a little bit of two sided tape as they need something to hold them up otherwise they will slide down the window channel.
I really like them as they allow me to keep a window cracked even when it is raining and I don't have to worry about the rain getting into the truck. And it rains quite a bit around here.

Which visor?
I had the in channel type in my 96 Dodge half ton and although the visor was fine the problem I found was that they would scratch the top 3/4 inch of the glass when you would close the window. They also tried to come unstuck from the felt window strips. Now with my 03 Ram I have the "AutoVisor" brand that stick to the paint and have had good lick with them so far, they have been installed on this truck since June and have been very happy with them.
just my .02$ worth.

Weathertech is the brand I have used on my last three trucks and H2, in the channel no tape, a very clean and easy install. Seems like everytime I installed it was way cold outside, so I turn the heat up in the cab and let them warm up a bit before bending them slightly for the install. To me there are no ther ones that compare...
