cat test pipe

Is it what i think it is,just tear off the cat and this will replace it and make my 04.5 flow free

Legally you must put the "cat" back on. That way during a visual inspection you will be leagal.

You are required to have a cat in Texas IF the truck came from the factory with one, but most places don't look for 'em. Luckily I have an '03 that came without one!

That cat is only like 6 inchs by 12 inches. Be awfuly hard to get 3.5 feet of pipe inside of it. Problably wouldn't flow much better

I did this, had the MBRP muffler with cat, and then tested it without the cat. Actually like the sound with the cat more, gives it a deeper sound, without the cat it's a bit more rasphy. Louder but not as good sounding.

The stock cat can be an excellent free-flowing resonator, gives the truck a nice sound!
