Hey guys this is a long shot in the dark but......

Had a Autostart remote starter installed and ever since I got it back the cargo light does not come on when the doors are opened. Now I checked the dial and it is in the correct position. It does work manually when I switch it on with the dial but I would like it to work like it used to when I open the doors.
The installer has no idea and denies that he did anything. Does anyone even have a wiring diargram that I could try to locate the cargo light wire and maybe he cut something ??

This site has come through for me before so if anyone out there has had this problem please let me know the fix

I checked my truck and 2 other today because they were at work and none of them have a cargo light come on when you open a door. Not sure what is up. Thats what bob is getting at. I thought it only came on with the switch.

by cargo light you are talking about the one inside the 3rd brake light top of the cab outside the truck right?

 

Yes the one on the outside top of the cab......mine used to work I wonder why yours does not.

 

another odd thing is when I use my factory keyfob to unlock doors the cargo light does come on.....when I use the remote start to unlock they do not

 

Sorry to bring up a old thread but I had to clarify something......

I was wrong the cargo light does not come on when you open a door. It will come on when you press the unlock button on the factory remote key fob or flip the switch all the way up on the dash.

Now does anyone know how to tie this feature in on a aftermarket remote starter ?
I had a Astrostart RS-5224 installed on my other truck a few days ago and the cargo light does not come on when I press unlock doors on the Astrostart remote but when I use the factory remote the cargo light comes on.

Anyone ??
