Can you break the tires loose at 70mph?
There's a guy on another site who claims that with the TST/BDDL stack he can break the tires loose at 70mph! I know my truck is far from being able to do that unless the pavement is wet. What do you guys think? Anyone here have a truck that will do that? Do I need to spend some more money on this thing to keep up??

Oh Gosh I hate the "I can break 'em loose at 50,60,70" saying more than anything in the world. If someone tells me that i cant take it I just go off.some really fast cars can but not one of our trucks. Haha the worst are the d-max guys.

I can only do it when the road is wet. I did race a ferd one day that when he punched it from 55mph it chirped the tires pretty good before taking off. It was a 7.3L with some sort of trans gimmick from banks. It was pretty wicked.

Dzilla, I've had some pretty hard fast 3rd 4th shifts at WOT but I was concentrating too much on the road to listen to the tires and with my sideout exhaust and this engine I don't think I or anyone within a country mile could hear the tires "chirp". ks

Not boil the hides, and clouds of smoke, but the **** end does get fairly loose.
Lil Dog knows this quite well

got juice, how can a 550 hp truck that weighs roughly 7000lbs break em loose at 60, if i had to guess i'de say we are at about the same power level. I can kinda chirp them at 35 but 60 no way. I guess its the weight and drivetrain that makes the difference. shoot why bother with a cummins im gettin a d-max if they can do that

#1. 550 has been my highest Djet number. (was at 34PSI out of 58 PSI)
#2. Race weight 7590 and it ran 60' 2.3 seconds, 1/4 mile 12.9 @ 109.44 mph
#3. At 60Mph I roll on the throttle to keep it in 5th . If I do not, the trans Dshifts to 4th gear (at 60 MPH) and you better darn believe it gets a little bit loose.
