All,

Once again, thanks very much for helping with the install, which has been performing without issue. Please see the attached link for photos and dimensioned sketches of the mounting bracket.

Harvard Filtration systems make a 2 micron element but the threads are 5/8"NF that is what I started out with but Harvard changed their gasget to an O ring and I had some problems with leaks. I fabricated an adapter with 5/8NF internal threads and 1"NF external threads so that I could use the Amsoil elements. The price was close between the Amsoil and the Harvard.

Nice job, I like the short hose.

Well, I may have outsmarted myself as I didn't leave a spot for the sample tap. I guess I can use a longer length and put in a loop with the tap on top of the filter housing.

I'd like to run the oil for 25k if I can. It sure soots up in a hurry, but I'm not sure that it's all that contaminated. I'm still early in the learning curve on extended drain intervals. Just have to test it and see.

This is a nice little sample valve. Ignore the extra fittings and look at the valve. It has 1/4 pipe threads, a pushbutton sample valve and an Oring sealed safety cap.

dott,

I purchased that valve with the rest of the goodies from my dealer. Just need to redo the hose and get it in place.

Thanks for the tip though
