Bully Dog PMT
Bully Dog PMT
Just got off the phone with Bully Dog tech support, sounds like the PMT will make every other programmer obsolete. The guy promised 3 to 5 mpg gains on the hiway, absolutely no check engine codes and you dont have to drill anything for the pyro. I used a Triple Dog on my last 5.9 and it worked very well but this sounds too good to be true. Does anyone have any experience with one?
Smarty customer, yes... cheerleader? Maybe...
I don't knock the other guys products though. I encourage this competition between the vendors because it means that we the consumer win! I don't want this to be a Smarty only world...then I'd have no advantage!
But to prattle off a bunch of comments like 5 mpg better and everything else obsolete... that verges on irresponsibility.
I am certain that BullyDog will introduce a new and improved product competitive to anything else out there. Make everything else obsolete? C'mon... Because if they can do it, so can others and they will...

Just kidding, some people do put the Smarty on a pedestal though, ya gotta admit.
Yes, skeptical of the MPG gains alright. With all the rampant claims of increases, my best mileage was when the truck was bone stock, before I did anything.
I thought I was suddenly getting great mileage when I tried Crazy Larry a while ago untill I filled up and did the math. Turns out CL just screws up the over head computer hootie.
I'm happy with the BDTD so far, not in a hurry to try anything new, (got some new fishin gear to pay for), the PMT is too big and I already have the gauges.
The TD gives me all the power I need and is sure to fry my clutch if I go nuts with CL. For now it's turned down, only till I get my AD100 though...

Something tells me the no drilling for the pyro is only for the 6.7............. Dont get me wrong I used to be a bullydog guy but they dont really offer anything at this time besides a touch screen..........

I sold the PMT and have ordered my 2nd smarty. I liked the pmt, the screen was cool but they were too far behind on kicking out new tunes. Plus the only person that seems to give a dang is Buddy and he can't carry the whole company. Plus I thought a-pillar gauges might look a little more cool.
