Truck I bought has a Bully Dog Triple Dog with Outlook monitor on it. I don't have anything but the downloader and the monitor, there's no instructions in the truck. I want to remove it and put it back to stock programming so I can start putting stuff from my old truck on this one. I don't want to keep the BD on it. I unplugged the monitor and tried to use the downloader to put it back to stock, but it says that the vin does not match. This is not possible......what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

 

are you sure its the same downloader that was originally used. it should go back to stock if it is.

 

Yes, bought the truck from my friend and from the day he put it in the downloader itself has always been stored in the compartment under the front middle seat.

 

i dont know then, its should ask to install download then ask if you want to return to stock. if its vin locked, i have no clue. did your buddy by any chance install it into another truck and forget to return it back?

I have allready done that! Well i use the PMT for a gauge with the rest.

 

ramble can you do that???!!!! that would save me some money on guages i was wondering about that today if i load the smarty and just keep the bd pluged in for the guage setup you would make my day if you are telling me i did not just buy a 1000 dollar paper weight

 

that sounds strange adam I dont understand why it is doing that. did he let someone borrow it to download onto their truck or something before?
I forget you have a tst to put on there also that truck will run like a raped ape now

 

Jesse I'm the only other guy he knows and associates with on a regular basis that has a truck that the BDTD would work on. I asked him last night about it and he said he isn't sure why it's not working and he would try to get some time to help me today.
I hope it runs as well as my last one did. I would like to do injectors at some point, and perhaps upgraded springs and head studs....but for now I'm gonna put the old stuff on and see what I get. I was at Danville P yesterday and they were selling the ats 2 piece manifold for 400 bucks, but I don't know if it was a this weekend only deal. That matches the lowest price I've found online for it yet.
Well, I'm gonna sell what I take off but for cheap though. I'm going to put my ppe downloader on and install the tst. I may experiment with a smarty but I'm not going to buy one until I can test it out first.
