which do you guys think is better

 

what are your goals with the truck, do you tow alot, is it for the track. ect. the BD is hands down more powerfull on a dyno and track.so if you want something just for a mpg thing with a good punch get the edge, there good to, runs a little hotter then most also.

 

not starting a war but i have j/a and raced a guy yesterday that had same truck but 4wd and pulled away from him. An i have had both bd and j/a and they run about the same temp. An i have witnessed a bd erase a guys computer, so if you do decided to go bd just use it on your truck and dont let anyone borrow it. But i have also had many problems with j/a freezing and going out. All in all they are both good companies with GREAT customer service. Either one will be a good addition

 

I've had both, Edge runs pretty hot compared to Bully dog. Edge has lots of low end power, but falls off on the top end, and the throttle was a bit touchy. But man I loved the gauges and turbo timer.

 

thats pretty funny, just because you have the edge you stick up for it lol.i had both so i can tell you edge runs hotter then BD, and smarty period.edge j/a is ok. but like i said before its a stepping stone for bigger and better things.the day i lose a race to a edge j/a will be the day.

lol...lmfao...runs a little hotter. u bet it does. if u drive normal you will ALWAYS see 900 egt on highway. (pyro in manifold by #3 cylinder). if you put pedal down WATCH IT. i can hit 1500 F in 4 seconds with mine on level 1. actually i hit 1350-1400 in about 8 seconds on stock setting.

 

Yea i guess you were talking to me, but it seems like you cant read. I have had both as well and i still have my edge! As for what you say on the power seems backwards, all programmers run better on bottom end cause they are fueling ALL the time. As for the stepping stone, if only i had all the actual parts like you do (turbo, injectors, and etc.) i would love to show you how much of a stepping stone it is! Cause as i have stated before, raced a guy with smarty on the 90hp tune and he made me turn mine down to level 4 (80 hp) cause my level 5 was too much as he said! His truck had samething mine does but with a smarty.

 

You said it right there your self. The J/A doesnt add anything when on level 0 so if your truck is hitting 1350-1400 in 8 sec. then there is something wrong with your truck STILL!!! An of course is it is running that hot already, when you add more to it, it will run hotter!

well see after i get these injectors in how it runs. maybe i had injector issue for over a year?hopefully

I have run the Edge J/A for 4 yrs now - I like it for the gauges and the power is nice. However, it does run hotter than the Smarty - I ran the Smarty for about 6 months and noticed a big difference. Prior to shutting the truck off I always let the EGTs get below 400 degrees - with the Smarty it would be down to 350 in about the same time it takes to get the Edge to 400 -- this is just idling, never did a comparo at WOT or freeway speeds.
