Bully dog on an 06?

Was wondering what you think of putting a Bully Dog Triple Dog on my 06 6 spd?
Would this leave a trace the dealer would be able to find?
What's the pros / cons of this vs any other downloader?

I already have the gauges, open muffler and will be doing the intake at the same time.
Thanks in advance...

Any time you have gages on, it throws up a red flag as to weather you have modded. If they think you mite have put mods on it. That gives them a hint as to start looking for mods. I personally think every mod out there can be found by a good smart dealer. There are allot of people who think they are pulling a quick one on a dealer. But in most cases they are not. Always remember. If your going to play your going to pay. Good luck with what ever you decide.

the triple dog is adjustable on the fly. I have ran mine on my 06 with no issues of cutting out or throwing codes at all. the crazy larry program does get hot. if you get this program, make sure you have some gauges of some kind

I have the Triple Dog on my 06. I love it. You can change settings on the fly. You can also change a few other accessory type things. I love it. I don't even have gauges. Everyone on here will tell you that they have their own favorites and many will bad mouth others even though they don't know anything about them. The best thing to do is research what each one does and decide what YOU want. It will drive you crazy. I know it did me until I got my BDTD.

I have the Triple Dog on my '06 and it works perfectly.

If a voided warranty concerns you than don't do any performance mods until after the warranty expires. The dealers are just looking for a reason to void warranties. Even an intake will do it if they don't like it.

Yah, but it's SO HARD to resist doing something!

Now if I'd never come across this site leaving it bone stock for 5 years would probably not be a problem.

All you guys are such a bad influence!!

I agree. I have just resigned to the fact that if I have a warranty issue I'm screwed and will have to take care of it myself. But I don't expect to have any problems.

Do you need the Outlook Monitor to be able to get into the computer for stuff like tire size, idle up, fog lights, accessory delay etc etc?

(its all your fault)

I have it on my '06 as well. Honestly, I cannot tell the difference between the Tow, Performance, and Extreme settings (using the latest s/w). Regardless of the setting, I get the same seat-of-the-pants acceleration. I suppose the best thing about the BDDL is the low-end torque option and the ability to change some of the truck's behaviors (fog lights, horn, door locking, etc). I ran the BDDL Crazy Larry tune and it smoked alot . Even though I drove like an old man, I got worse fuel mileage and tons of smoke. Not for me...

The worst part is the bad tranny shifting after I got a built tranny from Goerend. For some reason, I get this quick intermediate shift between 2nd and 3rd for 1/2-sec that spikes the RPMs. Seems like a mis-shift to me, and others have experienced the same problem.

I am just about to ditch the BDDL and go with the Diablo Predator/Power Puck combo. It seems to get good reviews here and is under $400 for the combo.

My $0.02

I have a triple dog and it worked very well on my 06. Much better than on my 03 for some reason. It has lots of nice features on the 06 too.

Isn't that pretty much guaranteed to fry my clutch?
What about the other settings?
