the noise kinda brings to mind some really bad timing rattle! & I have a post in the 6.7L forums describing the whole experience, & I did try the 2.1.4 & it was much worse, someone with BD told the dealer I got it from that I needed the 2.1.3 to run it on my cab & chassis, if you can , check out my thread in the other forum, & hit me back on there or shoot me a PM, thanks alot! I really can't answer that today. I will put pressure on the right people and get you an answer soon though.

Can you give us more detailed information about the custom tuning. Sounds like something a lot of us have been waiting a long time to see if we have unlimited capabilities.
We have talked about having a customer version which will have limitations, but be freely available, and a pro version which will be unlimited capabilities.

The devil is in the details here and we are still ironing those out, so don't hold me to that, but that is what I am pushing for.

Could be timing rattle, or a combination of timing and pressure. Every truck is different. On our C&C it is louder, but not what I would call noisy. Sending you a PM. PM didn't work. Can you send me your phone # and I'll call you on Moday

Hey Buddy,

Welcome back! I know you guys don't really support Crazy Larry anymore, but I have a strange issue I hope you might be able to answer.

I'm running Crazy Larry 2.4.1, and really love the tune, but I noticed something a little weird with it. My truck seems to have an issue making over 28lbs of boost with this tune, but occasionally will make over 40lbs of boost without issue. My only guess is that my stock CP3 can't keep up with the demand. However, if I load my SmartyCR, or any of my other tuners the issue goes away. Any ideas?

Thanks!

P.S. I'm also running a Walbro 392 along with a boost fooler...

welcome back Buddy. I'll admit, I've kinda lost faith in BD but, am keeping a open mind. I, like some others just don't like the fact of having to spend 1K and more to get these race or custom tunes. If it proves to be as functional as you're hinting though, you may have a hit! It will be interesting to see what you guys turn out.

Bdtd

I'd like to be another voice for those of us who have made this investment only to see it by-passed for yet another new deal. I'd like to see the higher rpm levels,... the speed limiter elimination,.... and a Scary Larry-like program for someone other than just the 05-autos.

It seems a lot of time and R & D is spent on programs that are not practical to the masses and it's the masses that keep the doors open.

Programs that only a few will know how to utilize effectively and not blow up their trucks or programs that are for guys who have Race only or Pulling only needs are great for them,... but what about those who want to kick it when they want and are not jeopardizing the integrity of the truck to do so and still have the capability to back it all down so their truck can be driven like fuel is expensive.

Don't get me wrong,... I like to race like everyone else but I don't want to have to jump to some other product to do so.

Just a voice for the BDTD. Your help is appreciated.

First, I hope all is well on the family front now! Sometimes returning to work can help get me past issues like that so I hope it does for you, too.

So what do I need to pay to get the source for the BDTD so I can do my own development? I've lost faith for the 305/555 trucks ever getting a proper program. What's it going to take to put an 04.5+ ECM into my 2003?

Andy

I mean if I have to I will run custum tunes on my truck before I want to spen another grand on the PMT. Maybe there is a way us triple dog guys can get discount's on PMT's. As stated before I am very loyal to BD but will save 400 dollars and buy a Smarty even though I would HATE to. Please though push on the right people to give us something with higher RPMS and more Hp for us sled pulling and racing guys.

On another not with the PMT adjustable RPM limit what is the maximum. Untill now 4k was but with the right mods what about even higher?? Can you set it at 4500 or not? If you can get it to fuel that high like a P-Pump.

The thread you are talking about Buddy, I seen that and agree with statements made above. I doubt I will ever get my question answered that I asked but oh well. Bully Dog has always been good to me sorry about other ppl's bad experiences though.

i would be happy with the same tunes on my td, but with some low end power. sure custom race tunes would be great, but imo the low end deal is where bd has been behind the curve for some time.

Sorry to hijack buddy, but there has never been a screen allowing for the removal of TQ management on the PMT software I am running. Am I not looking in the right place? I have the beta CL software no touchscreen. Thanks and welcome back brother.

i also dont wont to spend a grand on a pmt when my bdtd has been real faithfull. i would pay extra for the custom race tune on my bdtd. i would also be interested in trading my bdtd in for a pmt, kinda like an upgrade like someone else mentioned
