I've had my southbend DD 3600 for about 25K and absolutly love it, EXEPT this last weekend I couldn't get into gear and when I did I had to hold the brake at stops because it wouldn't fully engage. I took it to the shop this morning and they say it's a broken pressure plate. I'm nowhere near the rated power for this clutch and have not abused it. I got a clutch I thought I could grow into. Is this a common problem with these clutches? I would sure like to get more than 25K out of a high dollar clutch.

 

Don't get bummed out Yet! I've been in the same posistion as you. Give Peter or manzel a Call and I promise if you are honest with them they'll take care of ya. Thats why they are ha good company, They keep there customers happy

 

Actually broke mine this last weekend in my 3600 and Peter sent out the part needed to fix it. Its frustrating but he's great to deal with and will take care of you.

 

I called southbend yesterday and got the parts coming. Peter wasn't there so I talked to someone else. I had one more question so I called back this morning and talked to Peter. He changed my bill, He's sending me the pressure plate all I'm having to do is pay shipping. Peter is the man. Even though I'm not too happy it broke, I can still say I'm a satisfied customer
