Just wondering if there is any thing I can do to cut back on the smoke (silt)
when lugging the truck. I have been bouncing back and forth between Sw-7 & 5. clears up pretty quick., but releases a fair amount of smoke.

 

Trq Managment 1. Or do what I do and just take off reallllllly slow until the boost comes up.

 

With my laggy SPS66 smoke is very hard to control in city driving. As stated the only thing I have found is very slow controlled take offs.

 

I have my tq mangmt set on 4, my timing set on 4,(best for economy)
do you think any of this makes a difference ?? I" am running the stock smarty s/w.know beta's/tnt's.

Yes. Reduce the TM to 1. Also reducing the timing will help. Can try the aftermarket injector setting.

Thanks, I'll try reduceing the TQmgmnt to 1. never consider or understand how the 2 are connected, the smoke and tq mgmnt ??
