Brand New South Bend Clutch Won't Release

Ok, need some help here. I bought a South Bend OFE and installed it this weekend and I can't get it to release with the clutch pedal. I took the slave cylinder out and pushed the fork with an apparatus that I fabricated out of pipe and all-thread then turned the driveshaft manually while the transmission was in gear so I know that it WILL release. The stock clutch worked fine. Any ideas?

Not enough information.

If there is air in the system it will not release. Did it work for a while and then quit? Does the pedal feel "normal" or easier than normal?

The new clutch did not work at all, as soon as it was installed. The pedal feel is about the same as the stock clutch was, but is and always has been stiffer than my dad's 03 with the NV5600. I did not open the hydraulic system at all other than checking the fluid, so I don't think there could be any air in there, right?

Did you replace the stock master/slave set? South Bend says the stocker won't last with their clutches.

SB and Valair both recommend upgrading the hydraulics with their new clutches. I replaced my hydraulics when I installed my Ofe and have had no issues with it.

The hydraulics could be the problem because it was extremely hard to get into reverse the last couple of days before I installed the south bend.

hitcb,

Look at the reservoir first. If it sits on the master cylinder, it's stock or oem. If it's remote, mine is screwed to the firewall, probably upgraded.

Figured it out. I, being the genius I am, did not tighten the pressure plate bolts down all the way.
