TST for the best all around performance. id put bullydog right behind TST, then edge after that. banks takes too long to install and is too expensive

Right now TST has the top box for power.
You'll need a pressure box to go with it though.
I suggest the Edge EZ (only one I have experience with)

Fountain,

Do you have an auto or manual transmission? I think that should be your deciding factor. If a stock auto, I would stick with the Edge EZ, nothing more then 80hp. You would be surprised at what floats in a stock 48RE tranny pan. Been there, done that.

If you have the stick, TST. You will know when the clutch slips.

Kyle,

They must still be using resistors to make power and have to shut the power down before they reach excessive fuel rail pressures?

The Juice box doesn't raise rail pressure to make power. Duration + Timing only.

Dennis,

You bring up a good point. It would be interesting to find out the answer to your question. Anyone have any ideas?

If I had to guess why they did it that way I would say because of EGTs. The regular juice is probably programmed to work with a completely stock truck and still be safe. As you probably know, adding a lot of fuel in the upper RPMS gives a lot of power but causes EGTs to skyrocket. Tapering off the top of the powerband back to closer to stock levels lets them give you a good gain in the low end and midrange but not get crazy hot when you mat it. This was most certainly the case on the 2nd gen 24V boxes, and EGTs would get much hotter when going to the "drag" boxes that fueled hard to redline. From what I have heard Edge will supposedly have a "hot juice" available that should pickup the powerband and especially the upper powerband to try to compete with TST. I have no affiliiation with Edge nor have I used one of their new boxes, so all this is just my opinion.
