Borgeson Steering shafts?

I was wondering if anyone has ever installed one of these?

To read it in the geno's add you truck steering is junk without one if you plow or run bigger tires.

I have no noticable steering problems at stock weight. I just wondered if steering feel is much improved?

Did they ever get the issues sorted out? I remember a post on here a while back that said the shafts they were sending out did not fit correctly on the 3rd gens.

If you want to improve your steering and improve the life of your steering box I would recommend a DSS before anything.
A friend of mine has a Borgeson on his 2nd gen and likes it a lot from what I remember.

i am the one that went through the borgeson nightmare- do a search-it will take too long to explain. basically their 950 shaft for our trucks are wrong (unless fixed by now) the shaft was too short and the u-joint spline was the wrong count! after having two shafts replaced by borgeson- the dealer i bought it from went down to the dodge dealership and crawled under the trucks. the problem-the 950 shafts were for the older trucks up to 2002! unless changed now- look what borgeson says about their shafts- it fits the models years 1995-2006 . in 2003, the dodge trucks went for a saginaw steering box to a delphi steering box. after three shafts and 10 days of hell- borgeson pieced me together a kit! a universal shaft-(needed to cut to length) and two different u-joints with the correct spline count- all works good now-but i had to be the one to find out borgeson was selling the wrong steering shaft kits for our trucks- i would call them first to see if they corrected this problem if you have your heart set on one- ask for gil in the tech dept.

Very interesting I would guess Geno's should be aware of this problem by now if it still exists.

Borgesen steering

I purchased one for my 03 a couple of years ago and never even installed it as as rjm022 said the one listed is incorrect. Another probelm I saw with the one I ordered was that the steering column was not stable as the two u-joints on the new shaft would allow the steering wheel to wiggle about in the cab.
