boost fooling

i have the bdtd on my truck with the crazy larry. i just put the quadzilla boost fooler on today and my truck bullydog monitor is only reading to more psi on the max boost. what gives? is the boost fooler causing the bullydog to lie? o yea i am runnning a stock turbo

I have the same setup on my outlook the boost will max out at 18psi that is because the boost fooler is fooling it. Your truck is making more boost than that
I am going to get a mechanical gauge for an accurate reading.

i dont have crazy larry but ive seen a max boost of 45 on my mechanical guage that is with my stock injectors i havent loaded my bdtd back in to the truck yet.. my outlooks boost maxes out at 28psi

Like beaver said, the outlook looks at numbers supplied by the ecm. You are telling the ecm it is making 18 pounds of boost, ie. fooling it. If you install a mechanical guage, you will read much higher numbers of the actual boost as opposed to the fake number being fed into the computer. A boost fooler simply tells the computer a number that is acceptable to keep your wastegate closed, therefore making more boost. Hope that helps.

thats what i figured. we hooked up the boost fooler one way and my monitor said 18. so we took it off and hooked it up another and it said 28. which way do yall think it would be better?
