Bigger intake, harder starting
Bigger intake, harder starting
Any chance putting a bigger air intake would cause my truck to start slower? May be in my head. Seems like I have had to hold the starter a little longer since putting the ******* whistler on. I love the whistler though.

No way would that upgrade cause a longer start period. The only thing it does is offer a larger volume of air to be consumed by the engine. If you still have the stock intake horn then basically nothing has changed on the engine side of things. I would look at FCA, injectors, or RP sensor if it seems to be starting slower.
Or you could need a couple new batts to really spin that sucker over

That is just modification paranoia, happens to most of us.You change one thing then you start paying way more attention and think you notice something wrong. Your truck is fine, good choice with the mod.
Not the bigger intake! You can run a diesel without an intake manifold and it will have no impact on start up. Unlike a gasser, there isn't a throttle on a diesel, it's wide open all the time
