this is what my bhaf and piping setup consists of... i got my stuff locally but you could get most if not all of these from airflow systems inc. my system is positioned a little diffreretly than most here that have a bhaf

1x bhaf element
2x 90° rubber elbows 4" ID on them
1x 90° short radius steel exhaust elbow 4" OD both ends
1x 4" exhaust pipe section ±3" long to join filter to elbow
5x 4" clamps [1 at filter, 2 at each end of rubber elbows]

rjm, lots of us used different parts to make similar end products. If you go to airflowonline.com and go to the intake section it's pretty self explanetory. 4" tubing is what you need. Two 4" rubber elbows, 1 length of 4" steel tubing, and 4 each 4" clamps. I had to do some rigging to make mine all work right. Look here for an explanation of what I did.. I'm "Got Diesel" over there....

Is there a mod to be done to the stock air box to add a larger filter with more flow to go along with the torqe tube mod? I'd like to get a less restrictive intake to the turbo but $300 and up is way too much for what it is. I have little restriction now since I put a staight pipe on it, according to the stock guage mounted on the airbox. So whats the options?

on the cheap, you could do a bhaf like this. bhaf filter and an elbow [i had a 90°, but a 70°-75° would be better] and it will fit stock piping after that...

Drill some holes in the bottom of the airbox and get an AFE Proguard 7 drop-in filter....

I did mine cheap similar to this.

http://dieselram.com/cgi-bin/ultimat...;f=29;t=003894

I used the same filter and 4" thin wall pvc pipe ( like for french drains and such) to mount the air sensor and connect the filter to the rubber hose.

I had the same set up , then I went with the cold air intake , you cah see a noticable diff in intake temps. The bhaf gets alot of eng heat and warm air through the radiator. just my .02

The stock piping works just fine just cut that muffler thing out off it or get some straight pipe I dont really see why you need the big list of stuff to buy
