I've read alot of posts where BHAF's were used on Ram's up to 2002. Is anyone using one on a 2003? If so, which one and how difficult was it to install?

Thanks...

Check my gallery. The filter will fit without any extra parts if you want to go the cheap route. I went to airflowsystems.om and got all new elbows and pipe for mine. I also went to Outerwears and got the Water Repellant cover for mine. I had to drive through some high water several times today and had no problems.....

There are quite a few folks running a BHAF on their 3rd Gen trucks. I'll be one of them after I've used the two remaining air filters I have sitting in my garage. The parts for my homemade "torque tube" will be arriving via UPS today so I'll get to put that in tonight. I'll continue using the factory air box (modified with holes drilled in the bottom of course) until I run out of stock filters and then I'll pull it out and replace with a BHAF and Outerwears cover like Dodgezilla has done.

If you'd like to change your intake tubing up a bit, HERE is a good way to do it (which is EXACTLY how I'm doing mine tonight).

When you get ready to install the BHAF, I think the most popular one is THIS one. It's what I'll be getting later on down the road.

I just used rubber elbows and a piece of straight stainless pipe that together are the same shape as the one on the link Hoss posted. I had to do a little rigging to get it all together but it works fine... Thr rubber elbow is the same diameter as the inlet for the air filter so I had to cut my stock accordian style boot and make it fit over the filter inlet and the rubber elbow... You can see it in my pictures....

my take on the BHAF filter in a 3rd gen

2 encarnations there... one using the stock intake piping, and another using 2 4" rubber elbows and reusing the 4" short radius from the first version
